CAMDEN — Officials of Sheet Metal Workers Local 19 continue their good work within the community.
Local 19 held a Day of Service on Thursday, November 3, as Bryan Bush, Luke Gordon, and Bryon Blum assisted the Cathedral Kitchen of Camden in serving over 250 meals to local families in need! David Spector, Director of Government Affairs at Hinkle Law, also participated in this worthwhile effort.
“We are proud to come out and assist both the Cathedral Kitchen and the local families here in Camden, especially at this time of year,” said Bush, who is Assistant Business Manager for Local 19, which is based in South Philadelphia.
That sentiment was echoed by Gordon. “We are approaching the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays and we know the importance of serving our communities,” he said. “We are fortunate to be able to give back to these families in their times of need.”
Cathedral Kitchen is the largest emergency food provider in Camden, NJ, serving more than 100,000 meals a year!
Staff members and volunteers provide nutritious meals for impoverished residents of Camden along with job training and supportive services to the community.
This is yet another example of Organized Labor giving back to our communities. See photo highlights below.
